Juventus 3-0 Crotone: Cristiano Ronaldo brace inspires Juve a home win

Cristian Ronaldo-Juventus

Juventus picked up a 3-0 win over Crotone in the Italian Serie A earlier tonight.

Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring for the reigning champions in the 38th minute and doubled their advantage at the stroke of half time.

The home side went into the break in complete control of the game and they managed to seal the three points in the second half when Weston McKennie put the ball into the net in the 66th minute.

McKennie is now the highest-scoring American player in the Italian League after scoring his fifth goal for Juventus.

The win tonight leaves the Italian giants on 45 points after 22 matches and they are now trailing League leaders Inter Milan by eight points.

It has been a difficult season for Juventus and it will be interesting to see if they can put together a winning run now.

The title race is still not beyond them but they will have to improve in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile the defeat tonight leaves Crotone at the bottom of the table with just 12 points. They have lost their last five League games and they will need a major slice of luck to beat the drop this season.

Juventus have the quality to go on and win the title but they have been quite inconsistent this season. If Andrea Pirlo can iron out their inconsistencies, they have what it takes to make up the point deficit and beat the Milan clubs to the title this year.
