Juventus have had a disappointing season by their standards this year, and the Italian club are thought to be keen on changing managers.

Former midfielder Andrea Pirlo has been quite disappointing, and he has failed to guide the Turin giants to the league title this season. Juventus barely managed to scrape into the top four on the final day of the season.

Apart from the domestic failures, Juventus have been quite poor in the Champions League as well, and it is evident that Pirlo is way too inexperienced in managing a club of their stature.

According to the latest reportsMax Allegri is closing in on a return to Juventus, and the agreement with the former manager is now imminent.

Pirlo is all set to be sacked in the next few hours, and it will be interesting to see if Allegri can guide Juventus back to the top of Italian football.

The Italian has helped Juventus win the league title five times in the past, and he guided them to a Champions League final twice as well.

Allegri is regarded as one of the finest tacticians in the game, and there is no doubt that he would be a better managerial appointment than Pirlo.

The Italian has been linked with a move to Real Madrid as well, especially now that Zinedine Zidane is leaving the club. It will be interesting to see if Juventus can finalise Allegri’s appointment this week.
