Torino

Torino will be in search of their first win in their last four matches, losing three out of four with the draw coming last weekend at home against Empoli

Ivan Juric’s side came into the encounter with Empoli with all to play for and as a better team on paper. But it was the visitors who took the lead immediately after the break via Mattia Destro. Torino searched for an equaliser and could only find one Serbian midfielder Sasa Lukic pulled one back for the home side to bring the tie to 1-1.

Torino come into this game in tenth place, two points below their local rivals and with a point to prove against the Old Lady who have won three out of the last five meetings between both teams and are yet to taste defeat in the process.

However, Torino find themselves presented with an opportunity to play an out-of-sort Juventus side, who have lost their last two games in all competitions. Albeit, Ivan Juric will be wary of the motivation that comes with a derby match and will be keen to see his side avoid the loopholes of complacency and secure all three points against Massimiliano Allegri’s side.

Possible Torino starting line-up

Vitaly Milinkovic-Savić; Koffi Djidji, Perr Schuurs, Ricardo Rodriguez;Ola Aina, Sasa Lukic, Karol Linetty, Valentino Lazaro; Nikola Vlasic, Alexey Miranchuk; Antonio Sanabria.

Juventus

Juventus continued their poor start to the season with yet another loss to AC Milan last week Saturday.

Goals from Fikayo Tomori and Brahim Diaz gave Stefano Pioli’s side all three points against the Old Lady. The loss saw Juventus drop further down the table to eighth place, six points away from the top four.

Juventus come into this game off the back of yet another 2-0 loss to Maccabi Haifa in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night, a loss that put their hopes of qualifying for the knockout rounds in serious jeopardy.

Juventus are no longer the heavyweights they used to be but are still expected to compete for the top four and go beyond the Group stages in the Champions League. With both objectives looking like a lost cause, head coach Massimiliano Allegri will be under pressure to get back to winning ways, despite club President Andrea Agnelli coming out to publicly state his support for the Italian coach.

However, a Derby win over local rivals will grant the Juventus faithful some respite amid their club’s sorry state. And with three wins and two draws in their last five games against Torino, Juventus will fancy their chances of getting yet another good result against Ivan Juric’s team.

Possible Juventus starting line-up

Wojciech Szczesny; Danilo, Leonardo Bonucci, Bremer, Alex Sandro; Juan Cuadrado, Adrien Rabiot, Manuel Locatelli, Filip Kostic, Dusan Vlahovic,, Arkadiusz Milik.
