Tottenham Hotspur were held to a 0-0 draw against Bournemouth in the Premier League at Vitality Stadium today.

Jose Mourinho will be thoroughly disappointed with his team’s performance in a game that they should have won.

The Cherries could have won the game, but Callum Wilson had a late goal ruled out by VAR for a handball by his team-mate Joshua King.

Bournemouth have been quite poor this season, and a team like Spurs should be picking up three points against them comfortably. Instead, the Londoners failed to have a single shot on target.

This is the first team a Jose Mourinho team has failed to hit the target since 2007 and Tottenham have now become the first team to fail to have a shot on target against Bournemouth since Middlesbrough in the Championship in March 2015.

Tottenham’s chances of qualifying for the Champions league seem bleak right now, and they will need a major stroke of luck to make the cut.

It will be interesting to see how Spurs bounce back from this in their next few games.

Bournemouth will be happy with the point, but they need a lot more if they want to stay in the Premier League next season.

The Cherries are now 19th with 28 points from their 34 games, and they will need to win most of their remaining games to stand a chance of beating the drop.

Meanwhile, the draw leaves Tottenham 9th in the table, ten points behind fourth-placed Leicester City.
