Sevilla

Sevilla’s abysmal start to the season continued when they were beaten 0-2 by Atletico Madrid last weekend.

The loss to Diego Simeone’s side saw them slump down to 17th place in the Spanish La Liga tables, a situation which has seen increasing pressure mount on the shoulders of Julen Lopetegui who will undoubtedly be aware of the possibility of being sacked if the results at the Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan doesn’t improve in the coming weeks.

Sevilla succumbed to a 0-4 loss to Manchester City in the first round of the UEFA Champions League and followed that up with a 0-0 draw away to Copenhagen.

With Copenhagen playing away to Manchester City, Sevilla must seize their opportunity to go clear of the Danish team who are level on points with the Spanish side in Group G.

However, Sevilla will have to conjure up a massive performance if they are to stand a chance of beating Edin Terzic’s men, with both teams sharing one win apiece in their last four games with the other two ending in a draw.

Possible Sevilla starting line-up

Yassine Bounou; Jesus Navas, Kike Salas, Nemanja Gudelj, Alex Telles; Joan Jordan, Fernando; Isco, Dario Gomez, Erik Lamela, Youssef En-Nesyri.

Injured: Marcao, Jesus Corona,

Doubtful: None

Suspended: None

Borussia Dortmund

Edin Terzic and Dortmund will be looking for their second win in the last five games they have played in all competitions when they travel to Spain to take on awful Sevilla.

Die Borussen come into this game off the back of a 3-2 loss to Cologne in the German Bundesliga last weekend, a loss which was their third in the Bundesliga alone this season.

Edin Terzic will now take his team to Sevilla to take on Julen Lopetegui’s side as they look to bounce back from their defeat to Cologne over the weekend.

With Manchester City having established a dominant lead at the top of Group G, Borussia Dortmund will have to put in a dominant display to secure all three points against the Spanish side to keep pace with the leaders as the race for the top spot heats up.

Possible Borussia Dortmund starting line-up

Alexander Meyer; Thomas Meunier, Niklas Sule, Nico Schlotterbeck, Raphael Guerreiro; Jude Bellingham, Salih Ozcan; Karim Adeyemi, Donyell Malen, Julian Brandt; Anthony Modeste.

Injured: Gregor Kobel, Sebastian Haller, Mateu Morey, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, Marco Reus, Mahmoud Dahoud, Giovanni Reyna

Doubtful: Mats Hummels
