Arsenal cruise to a comfortable win over Molde away from home

Arsenal picked up a 3-0 win over Molde in the Europa League earlier tonight in Europa league contest as Nicolas Pepe opens the scoresheet.

The Gunners are now through to knockout stages of the competition after winning all four group games so far.

The Premier League club started the game with intensity and then managed to dominate the proceedings.

Molde had their chance to score the opening goal of the game but Sheriff Sinyan failed to find the net early on in the first half.

Arteta made eight changes to the lineup that drew against Leeds United but Arsenal were still the favourites going into the game and they managed to get the job done.

The Arsenal manager will be quite pleased with his team’s performance tonight but there is still scope for improvement.

The Gunners managed to win six corners in the first half but they struggled to create clear cut chances.

However, things changed for the better in the second half when Nicolas Pepe curled a finish into the corner on the 50th minute to give Arsenal the lead.

Eddie Nketiah managed to score two minutes later but his goal was ruled out due to offside.

Reiss Nelson doubled Arsenal’s advantage on the 55th minute and Folarin Balogun wrapped up the scoring on the 83rd minute.

The Gunners can now afford to rest their key players for the remaining group games.

Meanwhile, Nicolas Pepe will be happy to have redeemed himself after his mistake against Leeds United cost him a suspension in the Premier League.

Arsenal are certainly one of the best teams in the Europa League this season and it will be interesting to see if the Gunners can go all the way in the competition this year.
