Paulo Dybala hints at Atletico Madrid transfer amid uncertain future at Juventus

Transfer Update - La Liga - Pjanic, Dybala, Rodriguez

The Argentine ace is facing an uncertain future at Turin, with his contract expiring in the summer of 2022.

Juventus ace Paulo Dybala is one of the players who has been touted for a summer move amid an uncertain future.

The 27-year-old has only one year left in his contract and there is less optimism over his continuity with the club, with him already rejecting an offer.

Dybala has been completely played down by Andrea Pirlo this season, falling down the pecking order although he was the influential figure behind Juve winning the Scudetto last season.

PSG and Premier League’s top clubs are said to be keeping tabs on the Argentine, who could move away from Allianz Stadium this summer.

Amid the speculations, Dybala has talked about Atletico Madrid, who are also understood to be interested in his acquisition.

The Argentine said: Alvaro Morata comes from there [Atletico], he spoke to me very well. The people are very hot, then let’s talk about a great club.”

Dybala also revealed in another interview that Atletico Madrid came in contact with his agent to discuss a potential transfer.

“Yes, I did receive phone calls from Atlético. Not directly but through my agent, they called the agent who works with me for a chat and to find out about my situation. It happens a lot, clubs call a player or their representatives to get to know what their situation is or how they are getting on with their club. Negotiations can sometimes last three days or six months.”

Dybala’s fortunes have changed in no time at Juve although many saw him as the future of the club.

Pirlo’s reign coupled with Cristiano Ronaldo’s good form hindered the progress of the Argentine international.
