West Ham picked up a stunning 3-2 win over Chelsea in the Premier League last night.

Goals from Tomas Soucek, Michail Antonio and Andriy Yarmolenko sealed a vital win for David Moyes’s side.

Chelsea will be bitterly disappointed to have come away with nothing from the game despite leading at one point.

The Blues took the lead in the first half through Willian’s penalty. However, West Ham hit back almost immediately through Soucek.

Antonio added West Ham’s second six minutes after the restart and Willian managed to level things up for the visitors on the 72nd minute.

Yarmolenko fired in the winner on the 89th minute for the hosts.

West Ham needed to win here and this will come as a massive boost to them. They were level on points with Bournemouth and Villa going into the game and now they are three points clear of the drop zone.

The Hammers will now look to build on this and secure Premier League safety.

David Moyes’s men needed a morale-boost and the win over Chelsea could give them tremendous lift and confidence.

It will be interesting to see how Chelsea bounce back from this now. They needed to win here to stay ahead of their rivals in the top four race.

The defeat here leaves them just two points clear of Manchester United and Wolves. Furthermore, they could have moved up to third with a win here because of Leicester’s defeat at Everton last night.
