Liverpool have been linked with a move for the Spanish midfielder Thiago Alcantara.
The Bayern Munich star is expected to leave the club in search of new challenges and reports claim that Liverpool are now very close to signing him.
The German giants want €35m for their midfielder and it will be interesting to see if they can agree on a fee with Liverpool. The Reds do not want to pay the asking price and they will be looking to sign the player for less.
Thiago would be a superb signing for Jurgen Klopp’s side if they manage to pull it off. He is an excellent player when he is fit and he would improve Liverpool immediately.
The Reds need more craft in their midfield and Thiago would be ideal for them. Him and Naby Keita could form a very good partnership at the heart of Liverpool’s midfield next season.
The Spaniard is at the peak of his career and the €35m asking price could look like a bargain next season. Thiago is a world class central midfielder on his day.
Thiago has been linked with a move to the premier league before and the midfielder will be tempted to play in England. It would be a new challenge for him. He has already proven himself in Spain and Germany.
