Borussia Dortmund have confirmed the free signing of young Manchester City winger Jayden Braaf on a three-year deal. a contract until 2025.

Jayden Braaf follows in the footsteps of now Man United man Jadon Sancho by moving to Dortmund from City.

The Bundesliga side struck gold back in 2017 when they lured Sancho away from City’s academy, turning the Englishman into one of the game’s top wingers before selling him to Manchester United for a massive profit.

Braaf was seen as one of the game’s top wonderkids when he joined City from PSV Eindhoven in 2018, but he endured a tricky spell at the club criticisms of his attitude and work ethic in senior sessions were frequent, and was sent out on loan to Udinese in January 2021 when everyone involved decided he needed a change of scenery.

“I want to say a huge thank you to everyone at Man City for the faith and support they’ve shown in me over the last few years,” he wrote on Instagram as he confirmed his exit from the club.

“I’ve grown both personally and professionally and wouldn’t be where I am today without their guidance. To my teammates, the academy staff, and the fans, thank you!”

According to 90 Min, A serious knee injury restricted him to just four appearances in Italy and Braaf has spent the past season rehabbing, and he has been made available for a free transfer this summer despite still having 12 months left to run on his contract.
