As per reports, the player is not willing to sign a new deal with the Catalan giants and Chelsea are looking to swoop in and secure his services.
The Dutchman is highly rated at the club, and he would be quite a coup of the Blues.
Chelsea can offer him more game time, and the player is likely to be tempted if the Blues come calling.
He wants game time assurances and Barcelona have not been able to provide him with that.
It will be interesting to see if Chelsea can get the deal wrapped up soon.
Frank Lampard has done well to promote the young players at his disposal this season, and he could make similar promises to Mbuyamba as well.
The Barcelona youngster will know that the path to the first team at Chelsea is far more realistic as compared to the Catalan club.
Barcelona tend to invest in readymade stars nowadays, and Mbuyamba will struggle to break into the first team scene there.
