Real Madrid have reached an agreement to sign Erling Haaland next summer, as Borussia Dortmund are unwilling to let Haaland go this summer.

Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland has been heavily linked with a move away from the German club, but a move this summer seems quite unlikely.

The German club are unwilling to do business this summer, and his suitors will have to wait until next year to sign the Norwegian striker.

A clause in the striker’s contract will allow him to leave for a reasonable price (€75m) next year, and Real Madrid have already made their move to secure his services.

According to reports, the Spanish club have a total agreement with the striker regarding a transfer next summer.

The 20-year-old forward is one of the best attackers in the game right now, and he could prove to be the ideal long term replacement for Karim Benzema.

Haaland has been linked with several Premier League clubs in recent months, and it remains to be seen whether Los Blancos can fend off the competition and secure his services next summer.

The striker scored 41 goals in all competitions this past season, and he was the top scorer in the Champions League as well.

Haaland is only 20, and he is going to improve with experience and game time. He could prove to be a superb long term acquisition for Real Madrid even if his price seems a bit steep right now.

Haaland and Mbappe are expected to be the superstars of the next generation, and it is hardly surprising that Real Madrid are already working on snapping up one of them.

The report also adds that Lautaro Martinez is an alternative option for the La Liga club as they look to beef up their attacking options.
