Arsenal, Manchester United set to battle it out for 23-yr-old La Liga ace

Arsenal-Manchester United

Arsenal have been linked with a move for Pau Torres.

Apparently, the player is a target for Manchester United as well and both Premier League clubs could make a move for him when the window re-opens in January.

Both teams need to improve at the back and therefore it is hardly a surprise that they want to sign a talented defender.

Pau Torres has done well for Villarreal and he has the ability to succeed in the Premier League as well. He is already an international with Spain.

It will be interesting to see which Premier League club manages to lure him away from Villarreal. The defender won’t come cheap and Arsenal will have to work hard to sign him.

They will be up against Manchester United, a club with considerable financial resources.

Also, the player is thought to be valued at around £35m, which seems quite reasonable for a player of his potential.

Torres is still quite young and he is likely to develop a lot with regular first-team football and coaching. He has the quality to justify the reported fee.

Arsenal have improved their midfield a lot with the signings of Willian and Partey this summer and they already had two fantastic attackers in Lacazette and Aubameyang. If they can improve at the back, they will be a force to be reckoned with once again.

Gabriel has already proven to be a good addition and Torres would help them tighten up even further.
