Liverpool Update: Keane slams Reds duo, Four-man transfer shortlist

Mohamed Salah-Liverpool

Keane slams the Reds duo

Former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane has slammed the likes of Andy Robertson and Mohamed Salah for their failure to stop Mario Lemina from scoring Fulham’s match-winning goal yesterday.

According to Keane, Robertson should have done better with the header and Salah needs to be stronger.

The Egyptian attacker was outmuscled and although defending is not one of his key strengths, he could have done better.

Meanwhile, Robertson has been outstanding for Liverpool since joining the Anfield club but even his form has dipped this season and the Scottish left-back will certainly need to improve in the coming weeks.

Keane said: “Set-piece, obviously Robertson has got to do better. Salah – okay, it’s not one of his strengths – outmuscled. But it’s a lovely technique, the way he gets across the ball and they deserve it.

“It’s not a great delivery; I think Robertson has got to do better. Salah has got to be stronger, he cannot lose it there. Fantastic strike but it’s amazing what’s happened to this Liverpool team. They’re a shadow of themselves.

“Salah… not good enough, not strong enough, [no] desire but Robertson has got to do better as well. You’ve got to get a better header than that away.”

Four-man shortlist to replace front three

Meanwhile, the Reds are looking to revamp their squad this summer and they have a four-man shortlist to replace the misfiring front three.

The likes of Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino have been abysmal this season and Mohamed Salah is the only player who has delivered consistently for Liverpool.

According to reports, the likes of Erling HaalandJack Grealish, Ansu Fati and Myron Boadu are on Liverpool’s list to replace some of their key attackers this summer.
