Manchester City have been linked with a move for the Serbian forward Dusan Vlahovic this summer.
Apparently, the likes of Tottenham Hotspur are also keen on signing the 21 year old Fiorentina attacker but the Premier League champions have now reached a verbal agreement with the player.
Manchester City need to improve their attacking options after the departure of Sergio Aguero to Barcelona and Vlahovic could prove to be a quality long term investment for them.
The Serbian scored 21 goals in the Italian league last season.
Vlahovic is one of the most exciting young attackers around Europe right now and he could prove to be a superb long term prospect for any club.
Fiorentina are likely to demand a premium for his services and it will be interesting to see if Manchester City can fend off the competition from other European clubs and secure the attacker’s services this summer.
As far as the player is concerned, a move to the Premier League would be a major step up in his career and he could be tempted to join a club like Manchester City who are capable of challenging for the major trophies every season.
Vlahovic has proven himself in the Italian league and he will be looking to test himself at a higher level now.
Manchester City could provide him with the platform to succeed in the Premier League and the Champions League.
