Perez infatuated with Greenwood, wishes to bring him to Real Madrid

Manchester United player Mason Greenwood faces backlash from his club and fans following the accusation of rape and assault levelled against him.

The Englishman was arrested by police on Sunday after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.

Following the news, Manchester United removed all Greenwood merchandise from their website on Monday as angry fans returned replica shirts bearing the player’s name to the Old Trafford megastore.

Also, Man United’s shirt sponsors TeamViewer said they are ‘closely monitoring developments’ and official partner Cadbury announced Greenwood would not feature on any of their marketing products.

Manchester United have also removed his name from the list of players on the Premier League club’s online shop, with any search for Greenwood drawing a blank.

Nike has also suspended his sponsorship deal while at least nine of his teammates appear to have unfollowed him on social media. David de Gea, Cristiano Ronaldo, Phil Jones, Alex Telles, Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, Fred, Marcus Rashford, Edinson Cavani and Victor Lindelof are among the first-teamers that have unfollowed the 20-year-old on Instagram within the last two days.
