Yusuf Yazici-Lille

The Rossoneri were stunned at home by Lille In Europa League clash.

Lille have shocked AC Milan with 3-0 win at San Siro, with Yusuf Yazici firing a hat-trick in Europa League match at San Siro.

Soon after Gianluigi Donnarumma made a brilliant save against Jonathan David, Lille were awarded a penalty after a foul on Romagnoli. Yazici converted it to goal successfully to give his side the lead.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the other end had his free-kick saved by goalkeeper Mike Maignan as the scoreline remained 1-0 in favour of Lille before the half time.

It didn’t take long for the Ligue 1 club in the second half to double the lead through Yazici’s brilliant strike, which also took the help of Donnarumma’s sloppy effort before finding the nets. The Turkish striker followed up with another goal minutes later to complete his hat-trick and also put the game to bed.

Ante Rebic had his shot saved by Maignan soon after he was brought from the bench, but Milan’s best chance came very late when Rafael Leao fired his shot wide after a cross from Lucas Hernandez.

Lille have given the Rossoneri a reality check while ending the Italians’ unbeaten run in all competitions this season.

The French club remained compact with their defence, not allowing Milan to easily play through. Indeed, the Italians also played into Lille’s plans and struggled to create chances in numbers.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was also kept relatively quiet throughout the game as he hardly had clear cut chances neither he got support from his teammates.
