Los Rojiblancos have been targeting Lautaro Martinez in recent weeks but he is now reportedly set to stay at Inter Milan for the upcoming season.
Now, they have switched their attention to another Serie A striker Vlahovic, who has enjoyed a sublime 2020/21 season.
Although La Viola weren’t good collectively, the Serbian racked up a total of 21 goals and 3 assists last season, eventually being awarded the best U-23 player of Serie A.
The 21-year-old has been one of the most wanted strikers in this summer window, with the likes of Tottenham, Liverpool and Inter Milan registering an interest in him.
Fiorentina are said to be closing in on a new contract deal for Vlahovic that would contain a €70m release clause.
However, La Viola could be entertained with lucrative offers for their prized asset.
Atletico are said to be willing to offer €60m and Nehuen Perez in a player plus cash deal to sign Vlahovic and this has the better chance of convincing the Italian club.
Diego Simeone’s side are also reportedly closing in on the signing of Rafa Mir from Wolves and it remains to be seen whether they can persuade Vlahovic to move to Wanda Metropolitano.
Inter have also added the Serbian on their wishlist as one of the potential replacements for Romelu Lukaku.
