After missing out on their quadruple bid following a loss to Chelsea in the FA Cup, Pep Guardiola is hoping to pick up his first trophy of the season and make it four Carabao Cup wins in four years.
The Catalan became the first manager to win the trophy three years in a row and can match Sir Alex Ferguson, Brian Clough, and Jose Mourinho’s record as one of the managers with the most EFL trophies if he wins on Sunday.
His Man City side remains one of the best teams in the division despite recent poor performances. They head into this tie with two losses from their last five games in all competitions but are easily the favourites in this tie.
However, they will look to win this tie without the contributions of John Stones, who picked up a red card in their win over Aston Villa on Wednesday.

The 29-year-old former Spurs player began his spell as Spurs boss with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Southampton on Wednesday. Second-half goals from Gareth Bale and a penalty from Son Heung-min ensured that he began his coaching career on a winning note after Southampton had taken the lead in the first half.
He will hope to win his first major career trophy this Sunday when he leads his team out against Man City but might be forced to do so without talisman Harry Kane who continues to nurse an ankle injury. Other injury absentees are Ben Davies and Matt Doherty.
