Man City 4-0 Liverpool: City crushed Premier League champion

Man City 4-0 Liverpool City crushed Premier League champion

Liverpool crashed to a 4-0 defeat against Manchester City last night.
The Premier League champions were outfought and outplayed by the runners up.

Manchester City put on a splendid show to demonstrate their qualities once again. Pep Guardiola’s men will be back challenging for the title next season and last night’s performance pretty much guarantees that.

It will be interesting to see how Liverpool bounce back from this and finish their season. They will be expected to win their remaining games and Klopp will be keen on breaching the 100-point mark.

Raheem Sterling was outstanding for City against his former side. The England International set up the opening goal of the game by winning a penalty against Joe Gomez. Kevin De Bruyne scored from the spot.
Sterling doubled the lead with a well taken goal ten minutes later.

Phil Foden capped off a fantastic half of football with City’s third goal.
The home side scored their fourth on the 66th minute with a little help from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The away side had their chances but Salah hit the post and Mane missed a sitter.

Meanwhile, Mahrez’ effort was ruled out in the second half or it could have been 5-0.

Klopp will be very disappointed with the performance of his players and he will demand a reaction against Aston Villa in their next game.
