Antonio Conte willing to manage Tottenham on one condition

Antonio Conte could part ways with Inter Milan after just one season

Tottenham Hotspur are thought to be keen on appointing Antonio Conte as their next manager, and the Italian has now named his one condition for taking the job.

According to reports, the former Inter Milan manager has urged the London club to keep hold of Harry Kane beyond the summer.

The 27-year-old England international has been linked with a move away from Tottenham, and the likes of Manchester City are thought to be keen on signing him.

Kane has 22 goals and 13 assists last season, and the striker wants to join a club where he can win trophies every season.

Conte wants the player at his disposal next season, and it will be interesting to see if club chairman Daniel Levy can convince the England international to stay at the club.

The Italian manager is one of the finest tacticians in the game right now, and he has helped Inter Milan win the Scudetto after 11 years.

He won the Premier League title with Chelsea as well, and he could be the man to end Tottenham’s wait for silverware.

However, in order for that to happen, Conte will need a quality squad at his disposal and losing a player like Harry Kane could be damaging to his ambitions.

It is understandable why he has put forward the condition that he will only take the job if he receives assurances that Kane will stay beyond this summer.

Levy will have to back the manager significantly during the collaboration, and his first order of business would be to ensure that Conte can work with Kane next season.
