Arsenal attacking midfielder Emile Smith Rowe has been heavily linked with a move away from the London club this summer, and Aston Villa are reportedly keen on his services.

The 20-year-old midfielder broke into the first-team scene last season, and he managed to make quite an impression for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Smith Rowe is undoubtedly one of the most talented young players in the Premier League right now, and Arsenal cannot afford to lose him just yet.

Manager Mikel Arteta has now confirmed that the youngster will certainly continue playing for the Gunners next season, and he quashed the speculations surrounding the midfielder’s future.

Arteta said: “Without a question. Yes. He (Smith Rowe) will stay here. 100%. No comment (when asked about Aston Villa’s bids).

There have been rumours of a potential new deal for the highly talented attacking midfielder. It will be interesting to see if Arsenal can agree on a contract extension with him in the coming weeks.

Smith Rowe’s introduction to the first team helped Arsenal improve during the second half of the season, and it is fair to assume that the midfielder will be a key member of Arteta’s side next season.

The 20-year-old needs regular football in order to continue his development, and there is no reason for him to leave Arsenal, especially when he is getting opportunities at the London club. He is highly rated by the manager.

The youngster has the potential to develop into a star player for the Gunners in the future, and the fans will be excited to see how he develops over the next year.
