Jurgen Klopp to spend time with family after Liverpool exit

Rumours are circling Jurgen Klopp that he could leave Liverpool after a whirlwind season in the Premier League, with the Germany national team being tipped as his next stop.

However, it has been reported now that Klopp has promised his family that he would take a year-long sabbatical if he leaves Anfield.

Earlier, Klopp shrugged off all the exit links by stating that he would grace his contract with the Reds.

The Reds are currently sixth in the Premier League table and have qualified for the quarter-finals of the Champions League after defeating RB Leipzig in the round of 16.

Southgate offers his verdict on Trent Alexander-Arnold after England snub.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has failed to make the cut in the England national team for the forthcoming World Cup Qualifiers, with manager Gareth Southgate pointing out his poor form as the reason.

The young English right-back has struggled to make an impact in an already disappointing season for the Reds in the Premier League, currently stationed sixth in the table.

Southgate has stated that Alexander Arnold is in his plans for the Euro 2020 but explained that his bad form had cost his place for the World Cup Qualifiers.

The Three Lions manager said,

“I don’t think he’s played at the level he’s been at during the last few years. “

“He’s a big talent and I’m sure he will play a big role for England in the future.”
