Manchester United were held to a 3-3 draw against Everton in the Premier League earlier tonight.

The Red Devils had a glorious opportunity to go level on points with the League leaders Manchester City with a win tonight and they will be thoroughly disappointed with their performance.

The home side were 2-0 up at half time and somehow they managed to drop two points by the end of the game.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be demanding a better performance from his players in the coming weeks and it will be interesting to see if United can sort out their defensive vulnerabilities.

Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea was in miserable form tonight and the home side could have easily avoided a couple of goals had the Spaniard done his job.

Edinson Cavani gave the home side their lead on the 29th minute and Bruno Fernandes scored a sensational goal from outside the box to double United’s advantage at the stroke of half time.

Everton came back into the game in the second half with goals from Abdoulaye Doucoure and James Rodriguez within the first seven minutes of restart.

Scott McTominay took advantage of an error from the Everton goalkeeper to give Manchester United the lead on the 70th minute but the Toffees managed to snatch a late equaliser through Dominic Calvert Lewin on the 95th minute.

Manchester United are now second in the table with 45 points and Everton are up to 6th with 37 points. If the Toffees can win their game in hand they will be level on points with cross town rivals Liverpool.
