Manchester United Transfer: Woodward exit could help to sign Sancho, Cavani wants summer move

Barcelona and Real Madrid could enter the race for Jadon Sancho

Jadon Sancho boost

Manchester United have been handed a major boost as far as their pursuit of Jadon Sancho is considered.

According to reports, the impending departure of Ed Woodward could help the Premier League club sign Sancho in future.

The United executive did not see eye to eye with Borussia Dortmund when it came to the valuation of the England international and his negotiating tactic did not go down too well with the German club.

It will be interesting to see if Manchester United can sign the young winger at the end of the season.

They have been using Mason Greenwood as a right-sided winger so far and Sancho’s arrival will allow Greenwood to play in his natural role up front.

The Dortmund winger is one of the best young attackers in Europe right now and he would be a sensational addition to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.

Cavani wants summer move

Meanwhile, striker Edinson Cavani wants to leave Manchester United at the end of this season.

According to reports, the striker has met with the club hierarchy and has communicated his desire to return to South America so that he can be close to his family.

The Uruguayan international has done a decent job at Old Trafford so far and it will be interesting to see if the Red Devils are willing to let him leave in the summer.

There is no doubt that Manchester United need to sign a world-class striker if they want to challenge the likes of Manchester City but Cavani is in the twilight phase of his career and the Red Devils are better off investing in a younger player this summer.
