Norwich

Norwich will continue their quest for Premier League survival when they welcome league leaders from Manchester City to Carrow Road.

The Norfolk club are in the midst of turning their season around after many had written them off as relegation material at the halfway point. Just four matchdays ago, they were sitting rock bottom. But two wins and one draw from their last three PL games has seen them climb up two places on the table.

The ‘Canaries’ come into this game on the back of a hard-fought draw against Crystal Palace. They are the league’s lowest-scoring side but are even more economical at home given that their nine points secured at home have been won by scoring just eight goals.

They will be desperate to continue their renaissance when they welcome the defending champions. But given that they have lost each of the last two PL H2Hs by a 5-0 scoreline, they will know that a long day awaits them at Carrow Road.

Possible Norwich starting line-up

Angus Gunn; Max Aarons, Grant Hanley, Ben Gibson, Brandon Williams; Kenny McLean, Billy Gilmour, Lees Melou; Joshua Sargent, Teemu Pukki, Milot Rashica.

Injured: Tim Krul, Ozan Kabak, Jakob Sorensen.

Doubtful: None

Suspended: None

Manchester City

Manchester City continued their impressive run in the Premier League on Wednesday as they defeated Brentford 2-0 courtesy of goals from Riyad Mahrez and Kevin De Bruyne.

With the win, the visitors extended their lead at the top of the table and also extended their unbeaten run in the league to 14 games.

The ‘Cityzens’ have only lost to Norwich on three occasions in PL history (W10, D6), and will travel to Carrow Road looking to keep their run going.

Pep Guardiola’s side have an impressive record away from home in the league as they have won nine out of their 12 away league games this season (D2, L1). Among Europe’s top five leagues, only Serie A side Atalanta (30) have claimed more points away from home than City’s 29 ahead of this weekend.

They will fancy their chances of getting a win here and keep the gap between them and chasing Liverpool wide.

Possible Man City starting line-up

Ederson; Kyle Walker, Ruben Dias, Ayermic Laporte, Joao Cancelo; Bernardo Silva, Rodri, Kevin De Bruyne; Riyad Mahrez, Phil Foden, Raheem Sterling.

Injured: Cole Palmer, Gabriel Jesus

Doubtful: None

Suspended: None
