Tottenham will travel to City Ground to face Nottingham Forest in their fourth Premier League fixture of the season.

Venue: City Ground (Nottingham)

Key Statistics

Nottingham Forest’s goalkeeper Dean Henderson has never lost a game against Tottenham (W2, D1).

The hosts have scored in each of their last 12 consecutive home league games (W11, D1).

They have just two clean sheets from their previous nine league outings (W5, D2, L2).

Forest have faced the most shots from open play in the PL this season (47).

Tottenham are unbeaten in their last nine Premier League games (W6, D3).

Only Liverpool (53) and Manchester City (50) have recorded more EPL points than Spurs (48) since the start of the year.

The visitors have kept four clean sheets in their last six league games.

Head to head

Nottingham have a better record than Spurs in the EPL head-to-head meetings between both sides. In ten Premier League meetings between both sides, Forest have six wins while Tottenham have three wins and one draw.

However, the hosts have won the last two competitive meetings between both sides which came in 2005 and 2014 in domestic cup competitions.

Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest have enjoyed mixed results since their return to the Premier League this season.

The hosts have opened the campaign with one win, one loss and one draw in three league fixtures so far–a result even Liverpool will be jealous of at this stage of the season.

They will be satisfied with their tenth-placed position after three games played, as they chase a finish above the relegation places for the first time since 1995/96.

After being held to a 1-1 draw against Everton over the weekend, Forest bounced back to comfortably beat Grimsby Town 3-0 in a Carabao Cup midweek contest to book a place in the third stage where they will face none other than Tottenham.

But first, they will want to snatch points off Antonio Conte’s men in the Premier League, which will not be impossible given their form at their home stadium. Steve Cooper’s men are unbeaten in their last 12 league home games, winning eleven times and drawing just once. They have scored in their last 12 consecutive home league games and will fancy their chances of scoring.

However, their defensive resilience in this league could be key, as they have just two clean sheets from their previous nine league outings (W5, D2, L2).

Possible Nottingham Forest starting line-up

Dean Henderson; Joe Worrall, Steve Cook, Scott McKenna; Neco Williams, Orel Mangala, Jesse Lingard, Lewis O’Brien, Harry Toffolo; Brennan Johnson, Taiwo Awoniyi.

Injured: Omar Richards, Jack Colback, Moussa Niakhate

Doubtful: None

Tottenham Hotspur

Antonio Conte’s side continued their positive start to the Premier League season with another hard-fought win over Wolves last weekend, taking their tally for the season to seven points (W2, D1).

The visitors come into this tie sitting in the third position. They are unbeaten in their last nine league games (W6, D3) and will be looking to extend it to ten when they travel to Nottingham.

Spurs have kept four clean sheets in their last six league games while they are yet to concede a shot from inside their own six-yard box in this PL campaign.

And so Conte’s men will travel to City ground as the favourites, given that they have become a hard nut to crack under Conte.

With only Liverpool (53) and Manchester City (50) recording more EPL points than Spurs (48) since the start of the year, they’ll be confident of beating a Forest side who have only avoided defeat once in their previous five encounters against last season’s Premier League ‘top six’ sides (W1, L4).

Possible away team starting line-up

Hugo Lloris; Davinson Sanchez, Eric Dier, Ben Davies; Ivan Perisic, Rodrigo Bentancur, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Emerson Royal; Dejan Kulusevski, Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son.

Injured: Cristian Romero, Oliver Skipp

Doubtful: None

Suspended: None
