Tottenham are finalizing the transfer of Bryan Gil from Sevilla in a swap deal involving Erik Lamela.

The Premier League side will pay a fee of around £21.6 million along with the Argentine winger for the highly-rated Spaniard.

Lamela has failed to live up to the expectations since his move to Tottenham in 2013 mainly because of his injury problems, and the Londoners have now decided to cash in on him.

According to reports, the newly appointed Tottenham director Fabio Paratici is a big admirer of the 20-year-old Spanish winger, and he has moved quickly to secure the Sevilla starlet’s services.

Gil is rated as one of the best young talents in Spain right now. It will be interesting to see if he can adapt to the Premier League and make an immediate impact for Tottenham next year.

The youngster was on loan at Eibar last season. He will be hoping to continue his development with regular first-team football at Spurs now.

The 20-year-old winger is an exciting young player, and the fans are likely to enjoy his all-action playing style. The Sevilla player likes to take players on, and he could create plenty of goal scoring opportunities for the likes of Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son next season.

Gil has tremendous potential, and Nuno Espirito Santo could help him develop into a star for the Londoners over the coming seasons.
