The Nerazzurri are in contention for Napoli skipper Lorenzo Insigne.

Serie A champions Inter Milan have given the go-ahead to the departures of Achraf Hakimi and Romelu Lukaku so far in the transfer window due to the club’s financial crisis.

Furthermore, Lautaro Martinez has been tipped to be the next as Tottenham are plotting a summer swoop for the Argentine striker.

Inter have been making moves of late in the summer window, with Edin Dzeko and Duvan Zapata being speculated to be the first two signings.

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, The Nerazzurri are now eyeing a move for Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne to strengthen their attack.

Insigne’s future at Napoli remains up in the air as his contract expires next summer and talks over his extension have not commenced yet.

The 30-year-old enjoyed one of his best seasons with Napoli last term, scoring 19 goals and providing 7 assists. He later carried his form to the European Championship, where he played a key role in the attack for eventual title winners, Italy.

Tottenham and Barcelona have registered an interest in Insigne following his impressive form in Euro 2020.

Napoli value him at €30m while Inter have reportedly submitted an offer worth €15m and Alexis Sanchez in a part-exchange deal.

The Neapolitans are said to be reluctant to agree to Inter’s offer as they see Sanchez’s wage demands as far-fetched.

Inter have also drawn up names like Joaquin Correa and Dusan Vlahovic as possible targets.

The pressure is piling on new Inter manager Simone Inzaghi, who will step into the new season without the likes of Lukaku and Hakimi -both were instrumental in winning the Scudetto last season.
