Garcia casts doubt on Barcelona future
Manchester City centre-back Eric Garcia, who has strongly been linked with a return to Barcelona, has now said that he doesn’t know if his future lies in the Nou Camp.
Garcia recently revealed why he didn’t extend his contract with City, and multiple reports are claiming that the young Spanish defender is all set to join Barca this summer.
Amidst the speculations, Garcia, who is currently with the national team for the World Cup Qualifiers and won an exciting contest against Georgia on Sunday, said,
“I’m focused on what concerns me, now with the national team there is a very important match against Kosovo coming up, and then what comes will come. I don’t know if it will be Barça.
“The team deserved it, against Greece we found a penalty that levelled the game for us and today we competed to the fullest. We deserve it for a spectacular attitude.”
Dembele, Mingueza and Moriba set for extension
Barcelona are set to renew the deals for youngsters Ousmane Dembele, Oscar Mingueza and Ilaix Moriba.
The Catalans consider the contract extensions for the trio as a priority and want it to be done before April.
Dembele has found his feet under Ronald Koeman after enduring a string of injuries over the last few seasons. The French winger has managed to earn a place in the starting line-up regularly, which helped him return to the national team after two years.
Mingueza has also become a regular starter in the three-man defence of Koeman while another academy graduate Ilaix Moriba is slowly integrating into the first team.
