Juventus picked up their second straight win in Serie A after edging out Sampdoria 3-2 at Allianz Arena.
The Old Lady showed their intentions from the off and created so many dangerous chances early on in the game.
Paulo Dybala, Juve’s main man, opened the scoring with a brilliant strike however he was forced off the pitch sooner due to what looked like a muscle injury.
Juve doubled the lead when Leonardo Bonucci nonchalantly slotted the ball into the nets from the penalty spot before the break.
However, the visitors managed to halve the deficit after Yoshida scored a header from the corner kick.
The Old Lady dominated possession for the larger bouts in the second half and didn’t allow Sampdoria to pounce on transitions.
Juve got their third of the night from Manuel Locatelli and the strike also marked the midfielder’s first in the Bianconeri shirt.
Sampdoria showed some late scare to the home side after Antonio Candreva scored the second goal for his side. However, Max Allegri’s men managed to hold on to the 3-2 scoreline.
Juve have entered the fray after enduring a terrible start to this season. Having picked up a hard-fought win against Spezia last week, they have successfully seen off Sampdoria today.
Dybala showed he is the key man for the Old Lady.
Paulo Dybala’s revival under Max Allegri has been extraordinary as the Argentine has managed to fill in the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo. Today, although he lasted for only 20 minutes, what he brought onto the pitch couldn’t be copied by his fellow attackers. The 27-year-old opened the scoring in a spectacular fashion and created two great chances for Alvaro Morata, who failed to make full use of it. It was unfortunate to see him leave the field due to an injury and there are doubts over his participation in the Champions League game against Chelsea.
Locatelli produced a terrific performance
Manuel Locatelli stood out with an impressive display in the middle of the park. Whether it is his work rate, defending or playmaking, the 23-year-old showed his real class, which we got used to seeing at Sassuolo and the Italian national team. Furthermore, his maiden goal for the Bianconeri could have made his day complete and not to mention his assist to Dybala’s strike.
