Juventus to continue talks with midfield target Locatelli
Juventus are hot on the trail of Sassuolo midfielder Manuel Locatelli, who has been identified as Max Allegri’s top midfield target.
Recent reports stated that the contract talks over the signing of Locatelli have stalled after Juve found Sassuolo’s valuation slightly higher.
Now, the Bianconeri are set to resume the talks next week and would hope to be securing a deal for the highly-rated Italian midfielder.
Sassuolo are currently holding out on €40m for Locatelli, whereas Juve are willing to pay only €32m.
The 23-year-old has set his sights on continuing in Serie A, and hence representing the Old Lady. He reportedly knocked back an offer from Premier League club Arsenal.
Miralem Pjanic closing in on Juventus return after agreeing on a pay cut
Barcelona midfielder Miralem Pjanic is reportedly closing in on a return to Turin on a loan deal.
The Bosnian midfielder endured a difficult first season after falling down the pecking order of Ronald Koeman. Now, the Catalan club are open to selling Pjanic in order to balance their books.
Pjanic’s links to Juve have emerged since the return of Max Allegri, who had previously enjoyed much success with the Bosnian international.
Now, the report also adds that Pjanic has agreed to take a 20% pay cut from his current deal to facilitate his return to the Allianz Stadium, which could be possibly a one or two-year loan deal.
Earlier, Allegri stated that Juve outcast Aaron Ramsey could be of great importance to the squad in the upcoming season.
