Tottenham and Mourinho looking for new signings

Tottenham and Mourinho looking for new signings

Tottenham are looking to sign around five new players this summer.

Jose Mourinho wants to add more depth to his side and he has asked Daniel Levy to explore the loan market and the free agent market extensively.

Spurs cannot spend a lot of money this summer because of the financial losses triggered by Covid-19 and they will have to do a bit of wheeling-and-dealing.

Some of the players they are currently looking at are Gareth Bale, Alexis Sanchez, Philippe Coutinho, Thiago Silva and the Juventus duo Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot.

It will be interesting to see which of these players Spurs manage to sign this summer. Silva could be a good short term addition at the back. He has the quality and the experience to improve Spurs.

Meanwhile, Alexis Sanchez has been quite poor for a while now and signing him would be a major gamble. Tottenham should look to steer clear of him.

Gareth Bale and Philippe Coutinho have not had the best of times at Real Madrid and Barcelona but they have what it takes to improve Spurs.

If they can regain their confidence, they could still be world class additions to most teams.

Both players are in poor form and a return to England could work wonders for them.

As for Ramsey and Rabiot, they are decent players but Spurs need to sign a defensive midfielder. They already have quality central midfielders in Winks, Ndombele and Sissoko.

The report adds that Tottenham have made enquiries for Gareth Bale. It will be interesting to see if they can bring the Welshman back to the club.
