Europa League: Dalot scores his first goal as AC Milan roll out Sparta Prague 3-0

Brahim Diaz-Zlatan Ibrahimovic-AC Milan

Brahim Diaz and Rafael were also the scorers in the Europa League win.

AC Milan has picked up a comprehensive 3-0 win against Sparta Prague in the matchday 2 of Europa League.

Brahim Diaz found the breakthrough for Milan as he found himself at the end of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s cross, which resulted from a quick counter-attack.

Diaz, in general, had an impressive game as his pace to begin the counter and trickery often caused trouble for the visitors. The Spanish loanee has now scored three goals for Milan this season.

The scoreline stood 1-0 at half-time although Milan were whiskers away from doubling the lead as Ibrahimovic missed a penalty. The Swede succeeded in sending the goalkeeper the wrong way but the shot hit the crossbar.

Rafael Leao replaced Zlatan after the break as a precautionary measure for Sunday’s game against Udinese. The Portuguese youngster made an immediate impact as he forced a save from Heca before finding the nets in the 57th minute.

Diogo Dalot scored the third goal of Milan soon after he set up the goal for Leao.

The Portuguese full-back had a memorable performance after scoring his first goal for the Rossoneri.

Milan were once again clinical with their display and are yet to face a defeat this season.

The win has come days after the thrilling draw against Roma in Serie A where Milan dropped points for the first time in this season.

Milan’s deadly nature in counterattacks was evident today as it has been for this season under Stefano Pioli.
