Arsenal cruise to a 3-0 win over Dundalk despite resting key stars

Eddie Nketiah-Arsenal

Arsenal picked up a 3-0 win over Dundalk in the Europa League earlier tonight.

The Premier League side will be thoroughly pleased with their performance and they will be hoping to build on this and put together a winning run in the European competition now.

Arsenal were favourites heading into this game and they managed to produce the desired result in the end. The fans will be happy with the showing from the players.

Eddie Nketiah scored the opening goal of the game for Arsenal on the 42nd minute and Joe Willock doubled Arsenal’s advantage two minutes later.

Nicolas Pepe wrapped up the scoring for Arsenal on the 46th minute and the Londoners could have scored more goals on a night they dominated from start to finish.

Despite resting key players like Leno, Bellerin, Gabriel, Saka, Aubameyang and Lacazette, Arsenal managed to get the job done and Arteta will be pleased with his players.

The Gunners were under pressure to win here after their defeat against Leicester City and it will be interesting to see if they can bounce back to winning ways in the Premier League at the weekend now.

Arsenal have struggled to create too many chances so far this season and they will be delighted with the number of chances they managed to create tonight. The progress is there for everyone to see and Arsenal just need to be more consistent now.
