Belgium were held to a 1-1 draw against Czech Republic in the World Cup qualifiers earlier tonight.
Lucas Provod gave the home side the lead with his first international goal five minutes into the second half but Belgium managed to score the equaliser soon through Romelu Lukaku.
The Inter Milan striker has been in red hot form this season and it is no surprise that he managed to find the net for his country tonight.
It was an open contest with both teams looking to secure the three points and they came close to securing the winner late on in the game.
Belgium had their chance on the 70th minute when Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne hit the woodwork from the edge of the box.
Czech Republic had a similar opportunity on the 84th minute when defender Jan Boril at the woodwork for the home side. Michael Krmencik had hit the post for the home side in the first half as well.
Belgium decided to start a strong midfield tonight with the likes of Tielemans, Dendoncker and De Bruyne. The visitors dominated the proceedings from the start and they enjoyed 62% ball possession.
However, Roberto Martinez will not be pleased with his side’s use of the ball tonight. Despite having a lot of possession, Belgium struggled to create too many chances and Czech Republic had more shots on target.
The draw tonight leaves Czech Republic and Belgium level on points at the top of Group E, with the home side leading on goal difference.
