Juventus

Juventus will look to continue their stellar run of form when they welcome struggling Udinese to Turin this Friday.

The Old Lady needed an Arkadiusz Milik stoppage-time strike last time out to secure a hard-fought 1-0 win against relegation-threatened Cremonese.

The win kept them hot on the heels of second-placed AC Milan, who they now trail by just two points and just seven behind first-placed Napoli

That victory was also Juve’s seventh-straight league win, showing how far they have come from their early season wobble. They will now seek to extend that run to eight for the first time since December 2018 as they ramp up preparations for a potential top-of-the-table clash against Napoli on the next matchday.

They will fancy their chances here given their form at both ends of the pitch. The hosts boast the league’s meanest defence with just seven conceded, which perfectly aligns with an attack that has delivered 2+ goals in each of their last six home league games.

Possible Juventus starting line-up

Wojciech Szczesny, Danilo, Bremer, Alex Sandro, Matias Soule, Weston McKennie, Manuel Locatelli, Adrien Rabiot, Filip Kostic, Fabio Miretti, Arkadiusz Milik.

Injured: Kaio Jorge, Angel Di Maria, Juan Cuadrado, Dusan Vlahovic, Paul Pogba, Leonardo Bonucci, Mattie De Sciglio

Doubtful: None

Udinese

While Juventus have recovered from their early season wobble to relaunch a title bid, Udinese have gone from title contenders to relegation material.

At some point in the season, the visitors were battling Napoli and Atalanta for the top spot. But a run of six draws and two losses in eight league fixtures has left them sitting in eighth position while trialling the top four by eight points.

Their recent poor results have been down to poor starts, as the visitors have conceded the match opener in nine of their last 11 Serie A games. Addressing that will be high on the priority list for manager Andrea Sottil, who will be eager to get his side back on track after their extended rest during the World Cup break.

However, given that they have lost their last six visits to Juventus in a row, they remain outsiders here and will produce a massive upset if they can snatch a win here.

Possible Udinese starting line-up

Marco Silvestri, Nehuén Pérez, Rodrigo Becão, Jaka Bijol, Roberto Pereyra, Sandi Lovric, Walace, Tolgay Arslan, Destiny Udogie, Isaac Success, Beto.

Injured: None

Doubtful: None
