Bayern Munich beat Borussia Dortmund 1-0 in Der Klassiker, at Signal Aduna Park in the return leg of Bundesliga. The first leg ended in a goalless draw. With this win, defending champion are ahead of their closest challenger Dortmund by seven points.
The defending champion slowly found their footing and had their own attempt fended off the line when Lukasz Piszczek cleared Serge Gnabry from goal-line. In the fiercely contested first-half, Norwegian Haaland should have done better when he was sent through in the 33rd minute, but Alphonso Davies stole the ball away.

It was Joshua Kimmich’s delightful lob that decided the match for Bayern. Kimmich spotted Bürki off his line and chipped the ball from 20-metre range over the keeper. Burki was able to put the hand but was not forceful enough. Bayern stayed in control after the break. Erling Haaland was forced to make way for Reyna, after an injury scare at 72′ of the match.
