Borussia Monchengladbach

Borussia Dortmund will look to maintain their unbeaten start to the season when they welcome Hertha Berlin to Borussia Park on Friday.

The hosts wasted a huge chance to start the new season with two wins for the first time since 1995/96 when they conceded an injury-time equaliser in their 2-2 draw with Schalke 04 last round.

However, four points from their first two games represent a good start for Daniel Farke, who replaced Adi Hutter after the Austrian guided Gladbach to a 10th-place finish in the Bundesliga last campaign with fewer wins than losses.

Farke will be hoping to guide Die Fohlen to a top six finish this season. He can register their joint-best league start after three rounds in club history if they win this game.

Given that Gladbach have lost just one of the last 11 meetings at home against Hertha Berlin in the league (W8, D2, L1), they will come into this tie confident of getting a win.

Possible Gladbach starting line-up

Yann Sommer, Joe Scally, Ko Itakura, Nico Elvedi, Ramy Bensebaini, Christoph Kramer, Kouadio Kone, Jonas Hofmann, Florian Neuhaus, Marcus Thuram, Alassane Plea.

Injured: Lars Stindl

Doubtful: Jordan Beyer

Suspended: None

Hertha Berlin

Hertha Berlin will look to pick up their first win of the season when they face Gladbach this Friday.

The visitors are winless in two games this season. After opening their account this season with a 3-1 loss against Union Berlin in the Berlin derby, they picked up their first point of the season last weekend, with a much-improved performance to earn a 1-1 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt

Having survived relegation last season via a playoff, they will be hoping to enjoy a stress-free season this term. Although it is still early days, they are currently sitting in 15th place and will be desperate to pick up more points in these early weeks to avoid getting too far from the top half of the table where they are looking to finish this season.

However, Sandro Schwarz will have to navigate this game without veteran goalkeeper Rune Jarstein who was suspended after verbally attacking a member of the coaching team.

Possible Hertha starting line-up

Oliver Christensen, Jonjoe Kenny, Filip Uremovic, Marc-Oliver Kempf, Maximilian Mittelstadt, Lucas Tousart, Ivan Sunjic, Suat Serdar, Dodi Lukebakio, Wilfried Kanga, Jean-Paul Boetius.

Injured: Omar Alderete, Lee Dong-Jun, Kelian Nsona, Jessic Ngankam

Doubtful: Marco Richter

Suspended: None
