Juventus could be forced to sell Ronaldo for cut-price fee

Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has opened up about the battle between Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to be the world’s next best player.

Both players are immensely talented, and they have already managed to establish themselves as key players for their respective clubs.

They are expected to replace the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as the game’s next superstars in the coming years, but Ronaldo believes that it is hard to single out one of them as the better player right now.

The Portuguese superstar claimed that it is exciting to see the new generation of young players like Haaland and Mbappe coming through, but they will have to work hard and maintain consistency if they want to be remembered as great players.

Both Haaland and Mbappe had been linked with moves away from Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint Germain this summer, and it will be interesting to see where they end up eventually.

The 20-year-old Norwegian striker has 39 goals and 12 assists to his name with Borussia Dortmund so far this season, and Kylian Mbappe has 40 goals and 10 assists to his name for the French outfit.

Asked for his take on Mbappe and Haaland, Ronaldo said: “It is hard to choose just one player to say this one will be the best, but I think it is exciting to see this new generation of young players, like Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe, who are coming through.

“Some players can have one or two great seasons, the really great players are the ones that keep doing it season after season, and that is not so easy to do. It takes a lot of hard work and a lot of commitment.”
