Juventus picked up a comfortable 3-1 win over Genoa in the Serie A at Stadio Luigi Ferraris yesterday.

Goals from Cristiano Ronaldo, Douglas Costa and Paulo Dybala secured the three points for the league leaders.

Juventus are now four points clear at the top of the table.

Paulo Dybala opened the scoring on the 50th minute with a well taken goal and then Cristiano Ronaldo doubled the lead with a superb striker six minutes later.

Douglas Costa wrapped up the scoring with a sensational strike on the 73rd minute.

Genoa scored through Pinamonti on the 76th minute but they couldn’t get back into the game. Juventus did well to shut their opponents down and grind out a result.

Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri also heaped praise on his three goalscorers for their individual efforts. All three players produced moments of genius to win the game for the Turin giants.

It will be interesting to see if Juventus can keep this momentum going and finish the season strongly now. They are in the driver’s seat as far as the title race is concerned and they cannot afford any slip ups right now.

Sarri said: “In the second half we lead thanks to our single players because we scored on three excellent plays by three single men. Paulo’s [Dybala] great slalom, the outstanding Ronaldo’s shoot, incredible for its precision and strength and the sensible touch from [Douglas Costa]. This is how we solved the match, thanks to our individualities and phenomenal skills. We created the team’s assumptions.”
