Juventus have reportedly agreed on a five-year-old to sign Sassuolo midfielder Manuel Locatelli.
The Old Lady have been on the Italian midfielder’s trail for a while, and now it looks like a possible summer transfer is on the cards.
The report also adds that Locatelli would earn around € 3m in the proposed deal, thrice the salary he used made at Sassuolo last season.
There had been plenty of suitors like Manchester City, Barcelona and PSG for the Italian midfielder, but Juve have seemingly won the race.
Locatelli’s transfer rumours to the Bianconeri got intensified after the announcement of the managerial return of Max Allegri, who identified the 23-year-old as a top target.
Even Sassuolo CEO admitted the interest from foreign clubs for their priced asset while adding that the club could try selling him this summer.
Locatelli’s rise has been phenomenal after he made his switch to Sassuolo from AC Milan, the club where he had his fair share of ups and downs.
The former Rossoneri has become one of the coveted midfielders in just over two seasons, leaving behind the hardships he experienced at San Siro.
Locatelli has managed to make the cut into the Italian national team in the upcoming Euro 2020, where he is expected to play a key role for Roberto Mancini’s side.
