Barcelona consider Hansi Flick as the top target to replace Ronald Koeman

Barcelona consider Bayern Munich manager Hansi Flick as the top target to replace Ronald Koeman. Flick is to accept Germany job after Euro.

Ten biggest wins in UEFA Champions League history

The German manager is set to leave Bayern Munich at the end of this season.

Barcelona are reportedly considering a move for Hansi Flick as president Joan Laporta has made the German manager a top target.

The Catalan club is looking to replace under-fire manager Ronald Koeman after a disappointing season, failing massively in La Liga and Champions League.

Whilst several managers are being tracked by Barca, Bayern’s Hansi Flick appears to top the wishlist.

Flick had announced that he would be leaving the Bavarians once the season ends and it has been speculated that he would manage the Germany national team after Euro 2020, replacing Joachim Low.

With an agreement yet to be reached with the national team, Barca are optimistic they can persuade him to be their next manager.

Flick’s record with Bavarians has been phenomenal, winning the sex-tuple last season – the only manager to do so after Pep Guardiola – and retaining the Bundesliga title this term.

Flick’s name, perhaps, emerged recently on the list of potential candidates to replace Koeman, which also contained Erik ten Hag, Xavi, Jurgen Klopp and Barca B team manager Garcia Pimienta.

Xavi is reportedly ready to manage his former club and has also requested Laporta to gain control of the academy La Masia. However, the legendary midfielder has signed an extension with his current club Al Sadd.

The Blaugrana are set for a major overhaul this summer with many players expected to be placed on the transfer exchange.
