Real Madrid have been heavily linked with a move for the Paris Saint Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe this summer.
There have been reports earlier that the La Liga giants have had a bid of around €160 million turned down for the World Cup winner.
It seems that Real Madrid have now returned with an improved offer for the player and it will be interesting to see if PSG are willing to accept it.
The new offer is thought to be in the region of €170 million.
Mbappe will be a free agent at the end of this season and Paris Saint Germain cannot afford to lose a player of his quality on a free transfer.
It would be smart of the French outfit to sell him and invest the money in their squad.
As for Real Madrid, they are in desperate need of attacking reinforcements after the underwhelming performances of Eden Hazard and Gareth Bale over the past year.
The Spanish giants are overly reliant on Karim Benzema to lead their attack and the arrival of Kylian Mbappe will help share the attacking burden.
The French attacker is thought to be determined to sign for Real Madrid this summer and he has already refused a contract extension from the French club.
It remains to be seen whether the two parties can come to an agreement in the coming days.
It is evident that the player wants to leave and it wouldn’t make sense to hold onto an unhappy player especially when he is set to leave on a free transfer in a few months time.
