AC Milan were held to a 2-2 draw against Napoli in the Serie A last night.
The away side will be relieved to have come away with a point from the game despite two costly errors from their keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The AC Milan ace gifted both goals to Napoli and AC Milan had to settle for a draw in the end. Franck Kessie scored a late goal from the penalty spot to save Milan’s blushes.
AC Milan took the lead through Theo Hernandez on the 20th minute. Lorenzo Insigne scored a free kick soon after and then Dries Mertens gave Napoli the lead with feeble effort.
Milan could have won the game but for their goalkeeping errors. It will be interesting to see if they can bounce back with a win in their next game.
They have been quite impressive since the restart and they are still unbeaten since then. Milan will be hoping to secure Europa League qualification with a strong finish to their season now.
As for Napoli, they are now sixth with 52 points. Milan are two points behind them in seventh place.
Milan will be hoping that Napoli can finish in the top six, unless they can finish sixth themselves. Napoli have already qualified for the Europa League as Coppa Italia winners and the seventh placed side will be allowed to play in Europe if Napoli finish in the top six.
It was tough, really tough, as after Lazio and Juventus, we’ve had a really difficult run of games against the best teams in the league, but we showed that we were up to the task.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was seen on the sidelines shouting and looking furious.

When asked about the rumours that Ralf Rangnick could be the next manager, Pioli said that he’s focused, and that’s ending the season on a high note.
Everyone asks me, but I am not thinking about the future. I am at a big club, I am training players who are doing so much and the decisions will be made in August.
It’s too important to focus now on ending the season on a high note. It’s tough for coaches too with a game every three days, so I cannot be wasting energy on something that is frankly out of my control.
I prefer to focus on what I can control, so training these lads and preparing for the games.
