Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has now ruled himself out of the Premier League season opener against Manchester City.

According to reports, the 28-year-old England international is in Florida, and he is unlikely to begin pre-season training until next week. Furthermore, he will have to undergo a Covid-19 test upon his return and isolate for 10 days before he can play.

The player was on a holiday in the Bahamas, and he was set to report to pre-season training on Monday. However, he chose to make a stop at Florida, and the player has not returned to the United Kingdom yet.

Kane has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester City, and there have been several reports claiming that the striker will not play or train for Tottenham again.

The player’s decision to skip pre-season training with the London club this week has added fuel to the speculations surrounding his future. It will be interesting to see whether the Londoners can convince their star striker to continue at the club beyond this summer.

Harry Kane is undoubtedly the best striker in the Premier League, and he managed to win the Golden Boot last season.

There is no doubt that the England international would be a quality addition for Manchester City, who have recently lost Sergio Aguero on a free transfer.

The Premier League champions are reportedly closing in on a move for Jack Grealish as well.

Manchester City are reportedly set to shatter the British transfer record for the Aston Villa midfielder, and it is fair to assume that Harry Kane will not cost any less.

It will be interesting to see if Daniel Levy is willing to sanction the departure of his star striker in the coming weeks now.
