Manchester United

Manchester United return to EPL action with a clash against West Ham United in search of a quick bounce back after their recent draw to Chelsea.

The Red Devils played out a 1-1 draw with Chelsea in their last outing in the EPL. Casemiro stepped up to score a stoppage equaliser for the Red Devils after Jorginho had put Chelsea in the lead from the penalty spot.

The draw saw Manchester United maintain their spot in sixth place, one point outside the top four.

However, Manchester United come into this game off the back of a 3-0 win over Sheriff Tiraspol in the UEFA Europa League with goals from Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcus Rashford and Diogo Dalot securing all three points for the home side.

Erik Ten Hag will now look to see his side pick up maximum points once more when they welcome David Moyes’ side to Old Trafford.

Manchester United stand a chance of breaking into the top four with a win over West Ham United, albeit temporarily.

However, with Tottenham and Newcastle in third and fourth place respectively having played a game more than the Red Devils, Manchester United stand a greater chance of breaking into the top as the season wears on, but must first maintain their place in sixth place with a win over David Moyes’ side.

Erik Ten Hag’s side have been in impressive form of late, and are currently on a seven games unbeaten run in all competitions. The Red Devils were particularly impressive against Chelsea and with such performances in their recent games, the Dutch coach will fancy his team’s chances against the Hammers.

Possible Manchester United starting line-up

David de Gea; Diogo Dalot, Victor Lindelof, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw; Casemiro, Scott McTominay; Bruno Fernandes, Jadon Sancho, Anthony; Marcus Rashford.

Injured: Axel Tuanzebe, Raphael Varane

Doubtful: Anthony Martial, Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Suspended: None

West Ham

West Ham are just beginning to find their feet, after winning just once in their first seven games in the Premier League.

Their early bad run of form left David Moyes’ side in the lower bottom half of the EPL table. However, the Scottish coach has once more found the right formula to get his ailing side firing once more.

The Hammers have enjoyed a fine run of form in October, where they have picked up three wins, one loss and one draw, to move into tenth place in the EPL table.

David Moyes will now be happy to see his side cap off a fine month with a win over Manchester United.

West Ham come into this game off the back of a 1-0 win over Silkeborg in the Europa Conference League on Thursday night, with Manuel Lanzini scoring the only goal from the Penalty spot.

The Hammers also secured a 2-0 win over Bournemouth in their last outing in the EPL, with goals from Kurt Zouma and Said Benrahma. David Moyes will be keen to see his side maintain their form and go for all three points when they visit Old Trafford.

Possible West Ham starting line-up

Lukasz Fabianski; Ben Johnson, Thilo Kehrer, Kurt Zouma, Aaron Cresswell; Tomas Soucek, Declan Rice; Pablo Fornals, Saïd Benrahma, Jarrod Bowen; Gianluca Scamacca.

Injured: None

Doubtful: Maxwel Cornet, Craig Dawson, Lucas Paqueta
