Tottenham Round-up: Latest on Eriksen return and Mourinho’s stance on Bale

Gareth Bale-Tottenham Hotspur

Inter Milan midfielder Christian Eriksen has been linked with a return to Tottenham this month.

The Danish international could return to the London club just a year after his 17.5 million pounds move to Italy.

Apparently, the midfielder has fallen out of favour with manager Antonio Conte and the Italian side are now looking to cut their losses on him.

Tottenham have plenty of options in the midfield and it will be interesting to see how they accommodate Christian Eriksen if he returns to the Premier League club this month.

Apparently, his return would depend on a loan move for Dele Alli. If the 24-year-old manages to secure a loan move away from Tottenham this month Eriksen could come in as his replacement.

In other news, Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho has lost faith on Gareth Bale.

The Welshman was brought in on a loan deal at the start of the season but he has failed to live up to the expectations so far.

His time at Tottenham has been plagued with injuries and he has managed to make just eleven appearances for the Premier League club so far.

It seems that the winger will return to Real Madrid once his loan deal at Tottenham is over and he’s likely to spend the remainder of his contract at the Spanish club.

It will be interesting to see if Bale can transform his fortunes at Spurs during the second half of the season by staying fit and putting in consistent performances.
