Solskjaer thinks - Sanchez's loan at Inter likely to be extended

Manchester United winger Alexis Sanchez is currently on loan at Inter Milan.

The Chilean has fallen out of favour at Old Trafford and it seems unlikely that he will return to the club again.

Manager Old Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Sanchez’s loan at Inter Milan is likely to be extended.

Similarly, Henderson and Smalling are set for loan extensions as well.

The Manchester United manager said: “Will the loans of Henderson, Sanchez and Smalling be extended? I think so but it’s a matter of administration and paperwork. Hopefully everything will work out.”

It will be interesting to see if Inter Milan decide to sign the player in future. The Serie A giants can certainly afford him but the winger might have to take a paycut according to certain reports.

Sanchez has not been at his best since leaving Arsenal and he will have to improve in order to convince Inter to splash out on him.

So far he has made 17 appearances for the Italian club, scoring once and providing three assists.

He was brought into Old Trafford with great expectations but the Chilean failed miserably. Sanchez was one of the best players in the league while at Arsenal and his decline has been rapid.

It will be interesting to see if he can regain his form and sharpness in the coming months.
