The Portuguese boss reportedly wants to convince Kane to stay put at Spurs.

Tottenham striker Harry Kane has fuelled the exit speculations after missing the training sessions last week.

However, the 28-year-old is said to have returned to North London after an extended holiday following his participation in Euro 2020.

Kane, who is being kept in isolation at Spurs’ training facility, is training individually. Manager Nuno Santo says that he will soon hold talks with the striker

Following Spurs’ pre-season friendly against Chelsea, Nuno Santo said: “It’s true he (Kane) is with us. He is with us and already training. He’s good.

“We expect to integrate Harry when he follows all the protocols we have to apply. I will speak with him as soon as possible because he is already at the Lodge.

“We have a training session, and with social distancing, hopefully, I will speak with Harry.”

Manchester City look to be keen on signing Kane, with their manager Pep Guardiola recently confirming the interest.

The Spaniard also added that it would be tough to strike a deal for the Three Lions international if Spurs are not open to negotiations.

Kane’s future is also being questioned following the North Londoners’ interest in Inter striker Lautaro Martinez. Reports suggested that Tottenham had offered €70m to the Italian club for his signing.

With the new season fastly approaching, it remains to be seen whether Kane would stay at his boyhood club or force out a move before the transfer window closes.

Man City are preparing for players’ sale at the moment to generate funds for the signing of Kane, for whom they had a bid worth £100m turned down by Spurs.
